Our stay at the Overton was top-notch! From check-in to check-out with Maddison, our stay was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of space for our belongings. The Wi-Fi worked well, even on the 13th floor. When the breakfast buffet's waffle batter dispenser was broken, the Head Chef Keegan made a Texas shaped waffle for my daughter and brought it to the table. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Conveniently located. Friendly staff. Had to wait for a room but the hotel was super busy the weekend I stayed. Will make this the location of choice for future travel. The meals pictured are from the restaurant on site. Food was also great

I’ve been to many bars and I’ve never had great service like the one I’ve experienced here. Claire is absolutely amazing. I told her I wanted a cherry vodka sour and she did one better. I’ve never had a drink hit my taste buds the way this drink did. She was very funny, friendly and engaging. I can’t believe she is new. She will definitely bring business into this hotel with her winnable personality. Thank you Claire for making my stay just 10 times better. You are very lucky to have her joining the team.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for many years, multiple times a week and this month alone I’m here for 14 nights! I’ve always loved this hotel, but I sadly see it slipping through the cracks. The room cleanliness has been subpar on more than one occasion and many things are starting to show their age in the room. Hair in the bed, hair in the bathroom, dirty room clocks, rusted tissue holders, tired dusty hair dryers, missing hand soap, and lots of times no pen with my notepad, but housekeeping doesn’t forget to leave a tip envelope. Broken van headrests, pick up van has leftover trash in it. These sounds like little things, but all these little things add up. I stay in hotels for a living so I’m keenly aware of what is to be expected and when it’s just poor management. Let’s keep those 4 diamond awards adding up in the wall and invest a little back into the rooms and some better housekeeping staff! The lobby and common areas are almost always nice, but the rooms can be hit or miss. I do appreciate the complementary waters though, but besides that the rooms don’t have many amenities. I love that they have mini refrigerators, but in the bathroom, there are no manicure kits, q-tips, cotton balls or anything besides soap and lotion. For the price point, I’d expect a little bit more. The best thing about this hotel 8 out of 10 people who stay here can’t utilize because it’s in the club, but the Starbucks machine is the best thing I’ve ever seen. 10/10! If only you could afford to put it in the lobby!

Located in a nice neighborhood. Staff is good, there were issues with my first room and they switched me immediately because things happen. I believe there is room service but I wasn’t informed by staff of anything specific although walking in the halls I could see food trays and alcoholic beverages on the floor so I assume. I have to admit that they do have some hot water issues regarding their bathroom sinks and their shower base moves. Not by any means luxury but a decent hotel.

The check in process was slow and then the room key card system went down meaning security had to let us in our room and then we had to go back later to get our room key card. At the time we checked to get our card they were only able to provide us with one card for 2 people. Service in the dining room for breakfast was slow due to staffing issues. Our room was not serviced after our first night despite the literature in the room saying we would get housekeeping everyday. We had been out most of the day and at 7 pm called and reported we hadn't been serviced. At 7:30 I called again and was told there had been shift change at the desk and my 1st call didn't appear to have been reported appropriately. Shortly after the 2nd call towels were brought to our room. This was my first stay at this hotel. I have stayed at 2 other lower priced hotels in the area that provide free breakfast but decided to splurge and stay here after it was recommended to me. Frankly, it wasn't worth the extra cost.

Very nice hotel with a conference room. Visited during Christmas time and the decorations were lovely. The room and staff were nice. Close enough to Tech campus for us to walk to the Carol of Lights. The hotel restaurant was delicious.

The Overton Hotel is absolutely beautiful — very clean, well-maintained, affordable, and in an amazing location. My partner and I stayed for several days and truly enjoyed the atmosphere and overall experience. However, on 11/29 we did have one disappointing interaction. A heavy-set Caucasian woman in her 50s with reddish hair, who was decorating for Christmas with maintenance in the lobby, was extremely rude to my partner regarding our two service dogs. She scoffed at my partner and bluntly asked, “Are those service dogs?” in a rude tone. When we replied yes and offered to show paperwork, she cut us off with a sharp “No!” and then turned to her coworker and asked, “Is Valerie here?” This was surprising and unnecessary considering we’d already been staying at the hotel for three days with zero issues. Her behavior made it feel as if we were intruding in her personal home rather than simply lodging at a hotel where service animals are allowed. Aside from that single negative encounter, our stay was wonderful and we absolutely plan to return. The hotel itself is fantastic, this staff interaction was the only blemish on an otherwise great visit.
